Comico writes only in capitals, the way comic book letterers do, and that likeness gave it its name. Frode Bo Helland, a Norwegian type designer, drew the letters leaning slightly to the left, and Indian Type Foundry publishes it on Fontshare.

The hand-lettered look comes from contextual alternates. As you type, alternate letters and ligatures swap in on their own, and the text reads as written more than set.

Helland drew the small details with straight lines. At ordinary handwriting sizes that is fine; blown up very large, it starts to look pixelated. Speech bubbles and captions suit it, and a billboard would show the seams. The single style covers well over 100 languages, Vietnamese among them.
