Tacos al pastor all night
“Chango” was the nickname of Ernesto García Cabral, a Mexican illustrator, and this face grows out of letters he drew. Fontstage turned them into a font in 2011 and kept the nickname for it.
There is a single style and it is heavy, fat round letters pushed out sideways. Set a lowercase sentence and it comes out more than half as long again as in Arial, so the headline has to be short.
Where would we put it? A comic shop sign, the header of a taquería menu, anything that ought to look like it is grinning. The 270 characters cover Latin and Latin Extended, so Spanish accents are there.
