A yen sign on a segment display: DSEG14 Classic Mini has one, along with ± and a percent sign, brackets, slashes and a plus. Keshikan added the 14-segment fonts after the 7-segment ones, and DSEG14 carries far more symbols than DSEG7 does.
The alphabet is all there, typed in either case, so short words work, a station name or a menu label.
This is the Mini cut of the Classic drawing, from release 0.46, which also brought the degree sign. 3 weights from Light to Bold, and italics for all of them.
We would give it words that scroll across a fake radio or car stereo, set in Regular, and keep the whole line to a dozen characters or so.
