Cast on 40 stitches
In the Soft Type collection the number after a name gives the height of the capital letters, so Jersey 10 is the size of Jersey whose caps are 10 units tall, a scale a knitter can count off on a chart. Sarah Cadigan-Fried drew the collection for exactly that, to let knitters plan the lettering on a sweater or a scarf before casting on.
Jersey is the sporty sans of the set, the letter you would expect across the back of a team shirt. Each face comes as a Regular and a Charted version, and the Charted Jersey 10 is the one to print when you want the grid itself.
On screen the Regular reads as a blocky, grid-built letter on the narrow side, and it works for game titles and retro graphics as well as for yarn.
