Take the sans serif letters of Eric Gill and feed them until they look like a figure from a Fernando Botero painting. That is the idea Miguel Hernández put on paper: Botero, the Colombian painter and sculptor, made his figures swell to enormous volume, and Erica One does the same to a classic English sans.
The result is round and weighty. Its lowercase is huge, close to the full height of the capitals, and words spread wide across the line.
Hernández is a self-taught type designer from Santiago de Chile who later worked at Alphabets By Chileans, a Latin American modernist foundry; LatinoType published this one in 2011. 1 Regular, Latin and Latin Extended, kerning only.
