ㄅㄆㄇㄈ, the Bopomofo letters used in Taiwan to mark how Mandarin is pronounced, are drawn into this font at 10 pixels, next to the Han characters they would annotate. A game written for Taiwan can therefore print a hint in zhuyin without loading a second file.
The Han set follows traditional print forms. Its base is TakWolf’s own Ark Pixel Font, which sets the metrics, and where Ark has not yet drawn a Traditional character the gap is closed from BoutiqueBitmap9x9; the Hangul is Galmuri’s. Down in the less visited corners sit the Ideographic Description characters, the little layout signs such as ⿰ and ⿱ used to describe how a character is put together from parts, which is handy when a rare character is missing from every font you have.
Proportional spacing, with kerning and a baseline placed for ordinary text, is what the project recommends unless you need a grid. 25,582 characters, 1 Regular, release 2026.09.25.
Where would we use it? Subtitles over a pixel-art cutscene, where a line of Traditional Chinese with an English name in the middle has to look like 1 voice.
