Strawberry milk, extra sweet
“Cute with a kick” was the whole idea when Satsuyako first released CherryBomb as a kana font in 2012. The round, modern bounce of it found it work on title logos and food packaging, and in magazines for children.
Getting it onto Google Fonts took real rework. Satsuyako adjusted the outlines and the balance of every letter, added symbols and a Latin alphabet, and made the font proportional, while keeping it usable in vertical writing as well as horizontal. The Latin goes as far as Vietnamese, with fractions, superscripts, a slashed zero and a set of stylistic alternates, which is generous for a display face.
There is 1 weight, and it is heavy and soft at once. Set a snack brand name or a manga chapter title in it; we would not set a paragraph.
