2 Latin letters, 1 Hangul syllable. On the monospaced grid of Fusion Pixel that exchange is exact, since every character is either half a cell or a full one, and it is what makes a Korean stat screen easy to lay out: translate “ATK 12” into Korean and the numbers can still sit in the same column.
At 12 pixels the base glyphs and metrics are from Ark Pixel Font, TakWolf’s main project. Galmuri fills in the Korean and Cubic 11 the Traditional Chinese. The KR build, which upstream now names ko, follows KS X 1001 and KS X 1002 for the shapes of its Hanja.
At 36,980 characters it is one of the biggest Fusion files, and unlike the 8 pixel builds it carries Greek and Cyrillic on top of Latin, kana, Hangul, Bopomofo and the Han set. For a game shipped in Korean and Russian, say, that means 1 font file where an 8 pixel setup would need 2.
The grid has its costs, which the README spells out: less room to draw complex characters, and Latin riding a little high beside CJK. A dialogue box full of sentences belongs in a proportional Fusion file. An inventory or a table of stats belongs here.
