Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

The name comes from the Korean 개구쟁이, gaegujaengi, the word for a mischievous child, and that is the mood. Gaegu is built on free, loose pen writing, and Google’s Korean launch notes describe its letters as wearing different facial expressions, with a fairytale air about them.
JIKJI SOFT, founded in 2004 and known for faces such as SM Classic, Oryun-che and Shin Youngbok-che, made it, and it was part of the first group of Korean families that Google Fonts released in February 2018. JIKJI also gave Song Myung and Sunflower to the same launch.
There are 3 weights, Light, Regular and Bold, with Hangul and Latin. For a webtoon speech bubble or a page of a children’s picture book it fits naturally. A formal letter would look odd in it.
