Look at the 3 in Gambetta. It has a flat top and stops a little short of the capitals, as do the other figures, which are lining but proportionally spaced. Paul Troppmair drew the face for Indian Type Foundry with books and magazines in mind, and the details reward a close look: wedge-shaped terminals end every vertical stroke of the upright capitals, and the a drops the terminal at its top left so its counter opens up.
The stress runs on the diagonal and the contrast grows as the weights get heavier, Light to Bold over 5 steps. Each weight has an italic with a double-story g, a single-story a and a k with an open loop. This download carries the upright Regular.
The lowercase is small. Give it room: 11 or 12 pt with generous leading on paper, and nothing under 18 px on a screen.
