A Note On The Page
Grand Hotel · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Season's greetings from the bakery
The title screen of Cafe Metropole, a 1937 film starring Tyrone Power, gave Brian J. Bonislawsky and Jim Lyles the starting point for Grand Hotel. They made a condensed, upright connecting script out of it, with a weight that leans toward holiday and bakery designs, though Astigmatic says it works outside them too.
1 Regular, 367 characters with extended Latin, plus ligatures and fractions. Think of a Christmas cookie tin or the lettering on a bakery window.
