Notes from a walk to the lighthouse
Headland One keeps its quirks hidden at small sizes. Gary Lonergan gave it eccentric details that add to its feel in running text without drawing attention, and only when the type is set much larger do they become obvious.
The personality goes back to the UK private press movement at the turn of the 20th century, the geniality of those types especially, but the brief was the screen: a text face that stays legible and comfortable from very small sizes up to headlines. Sorkin Type published it. The lowercase is big and the letters run wide, so it uses up line length fast.
1 Regular, 411 characters. For a literary blog it has the right voice, though with no italic, book titles will need quotation marks.
