A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

The name belongs to a character in the story Something Wicked This Way Comes. Brian Bonislawsky of Astigmatic had always found certain calligraphic pen styles a little sinister, and this is his take on one.
It is a flat-nib italic hand, the traditional shapes kept but the strokes pushed into sharper angles. Narrow, too. 1 style, Latin with the extended accents, a few fractions and ordinals for good measure.
Halloween party invitations, the cover of a ghost story. It needs nothing more serious than that.
