A Note On The Page

Thursday afternoon

Dear Alex,

I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.

See you there.

Some letters in Yellowtail join their neighbors and some do not, and that mix is a large part of why it reads so easily for a script. Astigmatic drew it as a flat brush script of medium weight, with the old-school flavor of 1930s typestyles like Gillies Gothic and Kaufmann and the looser rhythm of a sign painter’s hand.

Where would we put it? On a diner logo, or the label of a bottle of hot sauce. It is a single style with no OpenType extras, and the capitals sit well above a small lowercase, so keep it to a few words at a fair size.
