Kadena, a blockchain platform for smart contracts, wanted a typeface for the developers who build on it, and Isa Ozler drew Kode Mono for that job. Its programming ligatures cover Pact, Kadena’s own contract language, as well as JavaScript, Haskell and Rust, and it carries the Powerline glyphs that terminal prompts and status bars are built from.

The variable version has 3 axes: weight, a width axis from condensed to expanded, and a roundness axis that takes the corners from sharp to soft. The files on this page are the 4 static weights, Regular to Bold, at the default width.

Outside the code there are arrows pointing 8 ways, the math signs ∀, ∂, ∑ and √, and fractions from ⅓ to ⅞, which come in handy for diagrams drawn inside comments.

Its cells are roomier than Consolas’s. Expect a few columns fewer in the same window.
