Navratri nights, Ahmedabad
Only the contours are left in Kumar One Outline: the Gujarati and Latin letters of Kumar One, drawn hollow. Parimal Parmar designed it at the Indian Type Foundry in 2016.
The letters are big and very wide, with a large lowercase, and an outline needs even more size than a solid face to hold together. Set it at 48 px and up, on a plain background. A festival banner, a poster headline in Gujarati. Not a sentence anybody has to read.
