Manjari means pearl in Malayalam, and it is also the name of a poetic meter in the language. Santhosh Thottingal gave the letters rounded terminals and meant the family for body text and for titles, and on the loops of Malayalam those soft ends look at home to us.
The weights jump: Thin at 100, then Regular, then Bold. With nothing between Thin and Regular, keep the Thin for a title or a cover and let the Regular carry the reading. The Latin side has a slashed zero and tabular figures tucked in for tables. SMC published it, and Google Fonts has listed it since November 2018.
