Apricot jam on warm toast
Every vertical stroke in Marmelad rounds off as it comes down to the baseline. Manvel Shmavonyan pushed this so far that the round letters stop needing overshoot, the small dip below the line an O normally gets so it doesn’t look shorter than an H; with everything soft at the bottom there is nothing to correct for.
The name is the marmalade sweet, the soft, chewy kind, and that is the mood. Cyreal made it for medium and large headlines, but with regular proportions and only medium contrast it holds up for longer text too, and on screen the generous lowercase and soft corners help.
Latin and Cyrillic are both covered, with Vietnamese. The 2022 update improved the kerning and widened the Latin language support.
There is only Regular. We would happily set a whole recipe blog in it, and a jar label too.
