Outlined is 1 of the 5 styles of Material Icons, Google’s classic icon set, alongside Filled, Rounded, Sharp and Two-tone. The set was drawn to the Material Design guidelines and is no longer updated.

This file holds 2,195 characters in a single Regular, with no weights, grades or variable axes. That keeps it simple to drop into an older interface that already uses the set, its buttons and navigation bars. For a new project that wants control over weight and fill, Material Symbols Outlined is the closer fit.
