Grandma's apple pie, warm
Merienda is Spanish for the afternoon snack, and Eduardo Tunni thought that pleasant part of the day deserved a typeface of its own. Merienda One was the first release, in 2011, a single bold style with soft, brush-like strokes, aimed at headlines and short texts that want height and a lively rhythm.
In September 2022 Tunni reissued the design as Merienda, a variable family of 7 styles from Light to Black with a bigger language set. This page keeps the original One: 210 Latin glyphs and no kerning, so check pairs like Te and Yo by eye in a title.
