Belgium writes 2 ways. Its Dutch-French language divide goes back to the Middle Ages, and handwriting follows the same line: Flemish schools prefer a sloped, continuous cursive close to the Dutch models, while the French-speaking community in Wallonia teaches an upright cursive of the kind popular in France. Everywhere, children start with print letters in kindergarten and move to joined writing in primary school.
Playwrite BE VLG is the Flemish one (VLG for Vlaanderen). It slants and it is fully connected, and some details are there so the pen never has to leave the paper. The X, for instance, has loops so it can be written in 1 continuous movement.
Other letters to notice: decorative capitals, with an A built much like its cursive lowercase; crossbars on T and Z; a straight-spined S; an f with only a top loop, joining onward from its crossbar; and a t whose crossbar reaches only to the right. Extenders are medium length.
