Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

Letters from a Venetian printer
Alejandra Rodriguez tilted Montaga’s stress hard. The axis of the thick and thin strokes leans so far that every round letter looks pulled at an angle, and that slant is most of the font’s character.
The capitals are slender, Rodriguez calls them arrogant, and the letters run narrow. There is only a Regular. She described it as a work in progress she meant to keep improving. At display sizes, on a title page or a wine label, the angled stress has room to show.
