A Note On The Page
Montez · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Lipstick in Cherry Red
Beauty product ads of the 1960s gave Montez its swing. Brian J. Bonislawsky of Astigmatic drew the script with long sweeping strokes and tall capitals that tower over the small letters, which stay well under half the cap height.
That proportion is a reason to keep it big. At medium and large sizes the strokes have room to flow and a product name looks dressed up; small, the lowercase gets lost. It also runs narrow, so a long name fits on a label without much fuss.
1 Regular, Latin with the extended accents, plus fractions and superscripts. Pair it with a plain sans for the ingredients list.
