A Note On The Page
Pinyon Script · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

There is something of the American West in the swashes, which is an odd thing to find in an English roundhand. Nicole Fally’s capitals throw out big, confident loops, and that bit of frontier swagger keeps Pinyon Script from feeling stiff even though everything else about it is formal: a steep slant, strong contrast between thick strokes and hairlines, letters joined into words.
The lowercase is small, about half the height of the capitals, so the swash caps carry the word. That also settles the size question. Treat it as a script for names and titles, set large, and give the hairlines some room on screen.
It first appeared on Google Fonts in 2011. In June 2022 the glyph set and language support were widened, and the font now carries old style and lining figures, contextual alternates and discretionary ligatures, with Vietnamese, all in a single Regular from Sorkin Type.
