Letters from the Persian court

Hebrew comes from this script, and of all the alphabets that grew out of Imperial Aramaic it stayed the closest. Syriac, Nabataean and Palmyran descend from it too.

It was the script and the language of the Persian Empire from the 5th to the 3rd century BCE, itself derived from Phoenician, and it stayed in use until the 2nd century CE. It is an abjad, written right to left.

The Noto version is small, 35 characters in 1 Regular weight with even strokes, and the Latin set is there for the translation underneath. For a museum label or a footnote in a paper on ancient Iran that is all you need.
