The strokes of Pally’s capital A meet at angles no sober sans would choose. The letters wobble a little, and the 2 halves of an a or an n are not quite the same size. Jean-Baptiste Morizot drew it for the Indian Type Foundry, which publishes it through Fontshare.
Under the play it has a proper structure: a double-story a, a single-story g, and an e whose crossbar slants in the manner of Jenson. The strokes are close to monoline. The lowercase ascenders rise above the capitals and the figures, and the accents of the extended character set get plenty of room above the letters.
Fontshare suggests headlines and signs in places for children, family centers and pediatric clinics among them, and that sounds right to us. A sign over a classroom door, a picture book title. This is the Regular, with stylistic alternates and fractions.
