Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Peru has no official handwriting model. Nothing in the curriculum says which letters a child should learn, so practice runs all over the place: most schools teach capital print letters first and joined cursive after, some open with cursive in the very first grade, and others never teach cursive. Private schools may bring their model in from abroad, and the Spanish-English bilingual ones often use Sassoon, a model from England.
So Playwrite Perú is a reading of that mixed field, and this Guides companion puts the 4 writing lines behind each glyph. Underscores print the lines alone.
