The scorching on Rubik Burned came from a program. NaN and Luke Prowse ran Rubik through their Glyph-Filters code, and Burned is 1 of the outputs, a sibling of Glitch Pop and the other Rubik Filtered fonts.
Under the effect sits the whole of Rubik, so Hebrew and Cyrillic come along with Latin in 689 characters. Keep it large, on a flyer or an album cover, and pair it with plain Rubik for the small print.
