Grand reopening of the Odeon
Vernon Adams started Seymour One from his earlier webfont Sigmar One and then pulled it toward the British sans serifs of the late 19th and early 20th century. What came out is broad and a little playful, a face for loud, unpretentious display lines.
He designed it to work conventionally, upper and lowercase, and also as an all caps font, which is how we’d set it most of the time. A single word in caps fills a lot of room.
An August 2023 update enlarged the glyph set and tidied a few shapes, and the 527 characters now run to Cyrillic as well as extended Latin. There is 1 style. Pair it with something much lighter for the text below, because 2 lines of Seymour One and the page is already shouting.
