Small print, big ideas

Gesine Todt, a Berlin designer who works at the corporate design studio minkadu, gave Snippet a light weight and an odd way of putting letters together, so a line of it has its own flow and makes you look twice. In a headline the small details come forward, and the page still looks clean, with some wit in it.

It went into Google’s library in July 2011, on the same day as her Leckerli One, as a single Regular for basic Latin. Short texts suit it better than long ones, where the oddities would start to add up.
