Blow Spline Sans up to headline size and small notches open at the joins, thorn-shaped traps that pass unnoticed in text and come into view as the letters grow. That is about the only flourish Eben Sorkin and Mirko Velimirović allowed. The rest is a cool, restrained grotesque with its traditional proportions pulled in a little to save space.
The Spline team started the project and wanted a face for checkout flows and the text around them. Alejandro León had the concept, Faride Mereb managed it, and Gonçalo Teixeira tested and fed back, a longer credit list than most families carry.
5 weights, Light to Bold, with no italics. Tabular figures and a slashed zero look after price columns and order codes, and the extended Latin reaches Central and Eastern European languages.
We would run an online shop on it from product page to receipt. The missing italic is the catch for long articles.
