Phoenician turns up in Tuffy’s character set, next to Greek and Cyrillic in their extended ranges, and you do not expect that from a plain grotesque sans. Thatcher Ulrich drew it; the 2011 copyright also names Karoly Barta and Michael Everson.
Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic, 1,501 characters in each, and the italics keep the width of the uprights to the letter.
We’d reach for it on a course reader about the ancient Mediterranean, where a Greek quotation and a Phoenician inscription have to sit inside English text and 1 family has to carry all of it.
