Switch on a different stylistic set and Style Script changes register. Robert Leuschke built 3 main sets into it, named Plain, Script and Formal, and the same word can go from a casual sign to something you might print on a wedding card without changing fonts. In all, the file holds 12 stylistic sets, plus swashes, contextual alternates and discretionary ligatures.
The starting point was the plain look of 1950s and 60s advertising, which Leuschke updated with current design habits. The letters stand upright and run narrow, so a long product name still fits on a label.
Western and Central European languages and Vietnamese are covered. Style Script reached Google Fonts in May 2021, and our suggestion is to settle on 1 set per project; flipping between them inside a single layout tends to look accidental.
