Uncial and Half Uncial were quick pen hands, and Uncial Antiqua mixes the 2 into a single formal type. Brian J. Bonislawsky, who runs the Astigmatic foundry, kept the signature shapes of both styles, and yet a sentence stays readable once you are a few words in.
That balance is the useful part. Plenty of medieval-looking fonts turn into puzzles after 3 words; this one can take a short paragraph on a festival program or the back cover of a fantasy novel.
1 Regular style with extended Latin, on Google Fonts since December 2011. The letters run wide, so give titles some room.
