A Note On The Page

Water Brush · Regular

A short letter, set in the family.

Thursday afternoon

Dear Alex,

I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.

See you there.

Sunday at the lake house

The dry, broken edges are the point of Water Brush. Robert Leuschke was after the mark a camel hair brush leaves when it is loaded with color and dragged over textured watercolor paper, and the letters keep that streakiness along with a loose, quick hand. It is a narrow script too, so a longish name still fits on a card.

The character set reaches Central Europe and Vietnam as well as the West, all in 1 Regular style. Old style figures are in there for a date written into a line of it. We would hold it to a word or 2, set large enough for the texture to show; small, the brush marks turn to noise.
