The s on the end means brackets only. YakuHanRPs is the trimmed version of YakuHanRP: it keeps 〈〉《》「」『』【】〔〕（）［］｛｝ at half width and leaves out the 、 and 。 marks, the middle dot, the colons and the full-width ！ and ？.
Why drop them? With the s version a page can tighten the gaps that brackets leave around a quoted word while the Japanese comma and full stop keep their usual full square. Qrac’s project gives each of its 3 styles, gothic, mincho and rounded, an s variant for it.
It works through the CSS font stack. Put YakuHanRPs first in font-family, then the Japanese font you are using, and the browser draws the brackets from this file and everything else from the next. The rounded shapes come from M PLUS Rounded 1c, so pair it with that face or one close to it.
7 weights here, 100, 300, 400, 500, 700, 800 and 900, each file a few kilobytes and 24 characters.
