Bellota comes in 2 variations, Normal and Text, and this is the Text one. Both are the same ornamented, low contrast sans at heart. Kemie Guaida’s own verdict on the family is that it is cute enough and no more.
The ornament is controlled through OpenType. Stylistic Set 1 gives the text forms and Stylistic Set 2 brings in swash capitals, and there are stylistic alternates for swash and plain characters, plus ligatures. So you can keep a label calm and still drop a swash cap on the first word.
3 weights, Light to Bold, each with an italic. The character set reaches Greek and Cyrillic, Vietnamese too. A shop’s labels and a matching website would sit well in it.
