Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

Bree came first, in 2008, from TypeTogether, the foundry of Veronika Burian and José Scaglione, and Bree Serif is its serif cousin. The odd part is how they describe it: a friendly upright italic. The letters stand straight while taking their shapes from the cursive side of the family.
Only a Regular exists here, with 394 characters covering extended Latin. We would put it on a bakery logo or a children’s book cover, places where some warmth helps more than a full range of weights.
