Johan Aakerlund first shared Comfortaa on DeviantArt, asking people to comment, critique it and send him links to whatever they made with it. Its letters are built from circles and straight lines with every end rounded off, a geometric sans with nothing sharp in it, and Aakerlund meant it for large sizes.
It is wide. The round letters take up space, and a heading in Comfortaa needs room on either side.
5 weights run from Light to Bold, and the character set runs to 850 characters across Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and Vietnamese, with a stylistic set and stylistic alternates. For a logo or the title screen of an app that wants to feel soft we would reach for it. Body text is another matter; keep paragraphs in a plainer face.
