The contrast in Cossette Texte runs quietly backwards, a little heavier in the places where an ordinary grotesque would thin out. You notice it after a paragraph or so. The design grew out of the brand of Cossette, the communications company, and it was meant to feel familiar and slightly off at once.

It has a sibling. Cossette Titre is the condensed one, packed tight for headlines, and Texte sets wider so that whole sentences read easily; the 2 were drawn to work together, and Google added them in July 2025.

Regular and Bold, with tabular figures and case sensitive forms in 309 Latin glyphs. We’d give Texte the interface copy and the reports at 14 to 18 px and let Titre handle the big type.
