Slant a readout in DSEG7 Modern Mini and it takes up no more room than before. The italics keep exactly the width of the uprights, so a display can switch between the 2, for an alarm state, say, without a single digit moving.
The figures are tall. They stand nearly as high as the whole type size, which leaves little room between lines, so give a stacked display generous line spacing or set 1 reading per line.
3 weights, Light, Regular and Bold, all with their italics, from Keshikan’s 0.46 release.
For a kitchen appliance mockup or a timer widget, Regular at a big size is our pick, with Bold kept for the moment the countdown hits zero.
