Every figure here has a face. Keshikan bent the 7 segments of an LCD digit around the outline of an egg and put 2 eyes inside it, and that egg is 7SEGG-CHAN, a character keshikan invented for the DSEG project. The outline comes from an equation for egg curves by Nobuo Yamamoto, which keshikan prints on his site with the values he chose.

14 characters, no letters: 0 to 9, the colon, the hyphen, the period and !, which turns every segment off. A countdown on a children’s app, or the date on a birthday card.
