The sky is falling, said Hen
There is no shared baseline in Henny Penny. The letters also differ in size and slope from one to the next, and Olga Umpeleva drew it for Brownfox that way on purpose, so under the wobble there is a classical letter structure you can still make out if you look at a single word for a while.
The name comes from the chicken in the fairy tale. Children’s books, magazines and websites were the uses the designers had in mind, always at headline size, and we agree with the large-size part: the lowercase is unusually big for its body, and at 14 px the bouncing starts to look like a printing fault.
