Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

Times New Roman and the other English faces of the early 20th century are where Octavio Pardo started with Gupter, and he condensed the idea for tight spaces. Narrow letters and a large x-height let it hold up in a slim column, while the light stems and small, quiet details keep the page an even gray.
3 weights, Regular, Medium and Bold, no italics, and 250 Latin glyphs with fractions and ligatures. Google added it in November 2019.
A council newsletter, or an article column on a phone where every character per line counts, is where we’d put it.
