Check the e and the s first. Both run wider than normal, and where strokes meet there are small dark joins, which a type designer usually trims back so the color stays even. Nicole Fally left them in on purpose. Hammersmith One takes after the Johnston strand of British lettering, and she kept the quirks of a somewhat naive, hand brushed letter.
Contrast is very low and the shapes lean geometric. It was prepared at Sorkin Type specifically as a web font, and it held up at smaller sizes than its makers first expected.
1 Regular, nothing else. We like it for a heading or a direction sign on a site, with something plainer under it for paragraphs.
