Mai Tais on the lanai
Brian Bonislawsky drew Hanalei from the bamboo lettering on the Mai Kai restaurant’s logo, and it goes all in on the Polynesian look. His note says it is for the Polynesian fan, and he is not wrong.
Small letters and capitals are close to level here, which turns a mixed-case word into 1 solid shape, good for a menu header or a luau invitation and hard work in a paragraph. Keep it big. A companion font, Hanalei Fill, was made to go with it. 1 style, Latin, 363 characters.
