Klee One · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Notes from Tuesday's lesson
Klee One looks written with a pencil or a fine pen, carefully, by someone with tidy handwriting. Fontworks aimed for something quiet and refined that would not look like the usual script fonts or like the stiff faces in school textbooks, and they meant it for body text as well as headings.
That is unusual for a handwriting font, and it works because the strokes are calm. A page of Japanese in Klee reads like a neat letter. There are 2 weights, Regular and Semi Bold, and 10,178 characters covering kana and kanji with Latin, Greek and Cyrillic alongside.
We would try it for a learning app or a children’s book, where a friendlier voice than a standard Japanese text face is welcome.
