A Note On The Page
Mansalva · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Type the same letter twice in Mansalva and you may well get 2 different shapes. Carolina Short drew 2 alternates for every letter and number, and contextual alternates swap them as you write, so a word with a double l or a row of 0s does not look stamped out by a machine.
It is a quick, informal hand meant for notes and short passages, a margin comment or a sticky note on a mockup, and it stays legible for a handwriting font. The lowercase sits quite low under the capitals.
The October 2022 upgrade widened the Latin to cover most Latin-based languages, and the font covers Greek and Vietnamese too. The same update reset the vertical metrics for better behavior across platforms, so on a Mac the line spacing comes out visibly larger than it did before. If an old layout suddenly looks loose, that is why.
