KoHo sits between 2 sans traditions, geometric and humanist, and Cadson Demak, the Thai foundry behind it, aimed for letters that come out neither mechanical nor calligraphic, in Thai and in Latin alike. The family is meant for text and display work both. Google added it in August 2018.

There are 12 styles, 6 weights from Extra Light to Bold, each with an italic, and the italics take the same width as their uprights, so emphasis can come and go in a sentence without anything reflowing.

The Latin lowercase is modest in height. For a menu or an app screen that sets Thai and English together, go a step larger than you would with a big-lowercase sans.

Vietnamese is covered too, with fractions, ordinals and superscripts for prices and footnotes. Keep Extra Light for large display lines.
