Type into this font and you get bars, Code 128 bars, with the human readable characters printed underneath. That last part is what the Text in the name means; the Libre Barcode family also has versions without it, plus fonts for Code 39 and EAN-13/UPC.
Lasse Fister, a font and web developer in Nuremberg, leads the project, and Google added this one in July 2017. Getting a scannable code out of it takes more than typing the plain string, and the project keeps usage notes for the Code 128 format. Read them before you print a sheet of labels.
